October Lodge meeting a great success

Despite the continuing worries over the health of WBro Tony Beckett, our Chaplain and Snr. Past Master following the brain aneurism he suffered recently, we enjoyed a splendid Lodge meeting and Social Board on Tuesday 21st October when the stand-in speaker, WBro Walter Coupe of Pendle Lodge gave his talk on “Preparing the Candidate for Initiation”. WBro Terry Rebanks gamely ‘dressed for the part’ and stood in a rather chilly Lodge room to assist Walter demonstrate the various points. Piping hot stew and dumplings, followed by Rice Pudding and Jam rounded off the evening, which saw us away to our homes and firesides by 10 pm.

  1. Bob Summers says:

Walter is a real fan of Rice Pudding with Jam. He regularly gets two and sometimes three portions when we have it at Pendle. I say we, I mean mostly Walter. Glad the lecture went well, he’s getting rather good at it now.
